Japanese Antiques

Japanese antiques are always interesting and vary widely. Even a set of the same items are not identical due to the fact they were not ready‐made. These variations are one reason why we fascinated by Japanese antiques. Also, it is fun to imagine what kind of people were using such items at that time.
Antiques are not necessarily needed in daily life but you can enrich your mind by finding what you like and love in them.

Many traditions have shaped Japanese cultures over a long period of time for example tea ceremony, flower arrangement, incense burning, calligraphy, religion and food. Old implements related to them have found value as antiques. Today similar items made as new are still crafted with the old traditions in mind.We Japanese try to discover new things based on studying the past. It's an old adage called 'On-Ko-Chi-Shin'.
